Dear Lapins Family,

I don't know if you will see this as it is so many years after your Mom's passing, but I wanted to send my love.

I will never forget Latvian St. John's night celebrations at your house. Your Mom was the sweetest lady. Always. I only wish I had the chance to know her as an adult.

Losing a patent is so very hard. I know. All my best. And thanks so much for some great memories, Mrs. Lapins.

Love, Yana Way-Hylton

My sympathy to Emma's family. I worked with Emma many years ago at SoFro Fabrics. She was such a sweet lady, full of life, smart and kind. I loved hearing her stories about growing up in Latvia and coming to America. She was very special.

My sympathy to Ms Lapin's family. I knew Ms Emma from the St. Clare rehab center where I have chatted with her nearly every week for several years. She and I always talked about our families and exchanged little stories about our children and grandchildren so I know how proud she was of her family and can only imagine the loss that you are all experiencing.

Ms Emma always brightened my day and I know that there are many others that will remember her for bringing cheer into their lives also.

Although we were not close, Aunt Emma always made us feel like "family" when we visited as children. In loving memory of a wonderful person.

Dear Lapins Family,
I am one of many who came to know Emma while attending the St. Clare Rehab Center. Her tremendous smiles, warmth and caring talks, her "never give up" attitude kept one going. She will be sorely missed. A truly wonderful lady was Emma.

My deepest sympathy to Ms. Lapins family. Ms Emma and I became close as she is one of my customers at the pharmacy in which I work. She always came in with a smile no matter how she felt and is one of the kindest ladies I've ever met. She always gave me encouragement in my life struggles to carry on and keep my head held high and that something good is out here in this life for me.
She also would tell me about sewing and mending clothes for her daughter. When we received our new uniforms she was excited because of how they were sewn, but unhappy with how my collar fit me and made it a point to tell me how to fix it properly. I will always keep her deep in my heart and will miss her smile and laugh and our many short talks.
Rest in peace Ms.Emma
