I worked with Josh in the 4th Fighter Squadron at Hill AFB in the late 90s. I was just randomly looking up guys from that time and he was always one of the ones I remembered as we had become good friends during our time serving together. I am so sad to hear of this and I wish all of Josh's family and friends the best and hope you're doing as well as possible in the years since.

I am a few years older than Josh. He comes from a great family. My main memories of him consist of him playing baseball up at the Shipman diamonds. Boy, he was good. We are praying for your family during this difficult time, but rejoice that Josh has now been glorified and is no longer suffering.

I am so very sorry that I inadvertently typed the name of Jacob rather than Joshua. My huge error for which I apologize...However, the note of sympathy remains the same that I am so sorry for the loss of a fine young man. Our prayers go out to the family of Josh Slusser, fallen solider of the 183FW. Josh was a great guy, husband and father, and veteran. He leaves behind a wonderful memories for his family to embrace his beautiful daughter with for years to come. Josh was called home to heaven, but leaves behind a legacy. We will miss him.... but know that he is in heaven looking down.

In the brief time I worked with Josh, he impressed me with his love of family, country (and of course his Cardinals). I only met Sheri and Brea Claire a few times but I know they were the loves of his life. Josh, you fought the final battle better than many...rest in peace.
