To my Hoban brothers (and sisters) I want you to know that your father was like a father to me. He was the most open-minded person of his generation I ever knew. It was fortunate for me to get to know each of you as it allowed me to know him. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I loved Uncle Bill and loved seeing him at family events (too rare) in these last years. I have great memories of going to 4th of July BBQ's at the house in the city and of Bill and his firemen friends singing in the evening. We will all miss these men of that greatest generation.
