I was saddened to hear of Charlie's (always Mr. Haverstock to me). He was a favorite Sunday School teacher, family friend and legal mentor. Taffy, Debbie & Tom, your dad was a great man and one of my family's dearest friends. A part of my past has died along with him.

Wonderful service today celebrating your fathers life. Having graduated from the senior high class, included in many family / friends gatherings and having shares in your lives, I have felt the touch of Charles on my life and in my heart. Blessings to all during this time of grief. Hold on to the memories and love your Dad and Granddad left on your life and in your heart! Blessings!

Dear Charlie,
Our daughter, Teresa still speaks about "Charlie the Church School Guy" and what a wonderful teacher you were.
And her Mom and Dad will never forget that you were one of the few people that she actually remembered after she had a stroke! Knowing you has been a blessing to us and to many.
We send our condolences to your family

While not having the priviledge to meet or know Charles, being a current member of the Board of Directors of YouthBridge Community Foundation, the sucessor organization to the General Protestant Children's Home, we have heard many mentions of appreciation for Charles. Our sincere condolances to the family.

So many wonderful memories of your dad and his bright, challenging mind! Your home at 44 Frederick Lane was my second home during our high school years - even when we were in trouble! I think my fear of being called on in Sunday School by Charlie at First Congregational helped me overcome my shyness :-) My love to all the Crowders, Mullikens and Haverstocks. You are all in our thoughts and prayers. Michele Merrell Bryan and family

Our hearts are with you in your loss and I'm sorry to not be with you today, but we are off for the weekend. I will always picture your Dad at the head of the board room table leading Sunday School-that grin on his face! We know he will be missed by many. Take good care! love, Nellie Kay

Dear Haverstock Family,
We are deeply saddened to hear of Charlie's passing. Your whole family has grown up being a part of First Congregational Church with your Mom being Pres. of the Women's Fellowship and your Dad teaching. Our children so looked forward to the fun of Charlies class and so looked forward to going. Your parents truly were a very important part of all our lives and will not be forgotten. We will cherish their memories.
Please know that we are keeping you all in our prayers and loving thoughts.
Charlie was a wonderful person and will be deeply missed.
With Our Deepest Sympathy,
The Jack A. Wilcox Family(Bonnie Zelle)

Sue and Charles Haverstock were my "second parents" growing up along with best friend Tom. Mr. H always liked to pick my brain and stimulate my thinking, and made me feel appreciated for who I was. To Taffy, Debbie, Tom, and their spouses and kids, I express my deepest sympathies and share in your sorrow.

Charlie was a lovely man, who was a good friend to my parents, after they moved into Meramec Bluffs six years ago. He and Sue were among the first people Mom and Dad met after their move from CT. They shared some good times and some sad, but were always friends. In the name of my parents, Edna and George Hille, I send condolences to the whole family.

I just learned of Charlie's passing from Bob Garrett. Charlie affirmed my decision to attend law school, and along with his partners, offered me a tremendous opportunity to work at Haverstock, Garrett & Roberts. Most importantly, though, is the friendship that Charlie offered me, the discussions we shared about investing and life, and his willingness to share his life's experiences with me with the hope that they would assist me in my life. They have. My condolences to his family.

I was very sorry to hear of Mr. Haverstock's passing. I remember going Christmas caroling with him and for the nights we all met at his house to 'run around the lane'. He was very kind to those of us who were baby boomers.

My son, Nathan, advised me of Charlie's passing. Charlie was and remains one of the truly good and gentle people I have had the pleasure of knowing. All who knew him will be less knowing he is no longer with us, but will be sustained in the knowledge that heir lives are better for having known him. The Whitney family sends their condolences.
