Fern Rae Ziegenbein

Ziegenbein, Fern Rae (nee Schwartz), passed away, Thursday, December 27, 2012, after a courageous life-long battle with lung disease. Widow of the late William A. Ziegenbein, dear sister of Bobbe Weintraub (late Sidney), Stanley Schwartz (Flora), late Arline Cookie Keller (Sanford) and Selena Bussen (William). Loving mother of Barbara O'Halloran and William R. Ziegenbein (Debby). Cherished grandmother of Kerri Reece (Greg), Jessica Rutledge (Craig), Erin O'Halloran and Heather Ziegenbein (Daryl Schubert). Adored great-grandmother of Caleb and Dylan Reece, Zoe and Isabel Rutledge, Olivia Ziegenbein and the late Luke Reece. Caring cousin, niece, mother-in-law and friend. Beloved Aunt Fern to countless. At 84 years, she enjoyed sharing her birth year with Mickey Mouse, but was one year older than her favorite Donald Duck. Services: Graveside service at Bellerive Cemetery, Creve Coeur, Monday, December 31, 2012 at 10:00 a.m. A celebration of Fern's life will take place at the Schrader Funeral Home Family Center, 14960 Manchester Rd., Ballwin, following the graveside service.
