Beloved husband of Maria Pavia; loving father of Alexandrea and Chloe Pavia; brother of Annette Curdt and Rose Sgroi; dear son of the late Joseph B. and Mary Pavia; Joe's faithful companion Spottie; dear uncle, greatuncle, cousin and friend to many. Services: Funeral from the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Tuesday, 9:30 a.m. to Holy Infant Catholic Church, Ballwin for 10:00 a.m. Mass. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to American Cancer Society, 4207 Lindell, St. Louis, MO 63108. Visitation Monday 4-8 p.m. Friends may sign the family's on-line guestbook at Schrader.com.

My dearest Joe, I love you and I miss you more than you will ever know; this house is empty without you. I miss the fun we had, the exciting vacations with the girls, the walks in Castlewood with Spottie, the love of nature, and just being with you. You were a caring, loving, tolerant husband whose absence leaves a hole in our hearts. All I ever wanted was for my children to have a loving father who was generous with his time, caring and loving. You did that and more. The greatest thing we ever did was to raise two beautiful, caring girls who adored you; you made them the altruistic, sparkling, and affectionate young women they have become. I ask that you please watch over us and direct us from above. I'll always love you.

My sincere condolences to Maria, Alex, Chloe, Annette, Rose and all extended family. Joe was a unique, fun loving individual and friend to all. It's been just shy of 40 years when I met Joe and became part of a circle of friends I'll never forget. Later, when Joe met Maria; he knew she was the girl for him and his life became even more joyful. Joe was truly loved and will be missed dearly.
