I first met Roy when he was volunteering his talents to our community by overseeing the construction of the Pointe. I had no idea that he would touch my life in the future in a very personal way.
We first attended St. John Church in May, 2010 with our daughter and grandchildren. By the end of June, I knew this was the church I had been searching for. What a perfect time to be a part of St. John, because I was diagnosed with breast cancer in December.
St. John was a significant part of my cancer journey. When I received radiation treatments, I would close my eyes and picture the beautiful cross in the sanctuary with the pink and blue lights. How comforting that was to me. It was as if God's loving kindness was wrapped around me. St. John continues to be a wonderful asset to my life journey.
What a blessing Roy has been in my life helping to make St. John Church an incredible, awesome church that brings such joy to my heart. What a blessing Roy has been to so many people now and to so many generations in the future.

Stan and I met Peggy and Roy in the country for the ice cream festival. While Peggy worked in the stands, Roy showed us all around the church. I also remember Roy and Mary delivering Meals On Wheels so that the people received food in snow, rain or shine and they were always happy . Such great people to know in your life.
