Barbara Warner Obituary

Warner, Barbara (Hauldren) Hardy Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Tues. May 14, 2013. Mrs. Warner is survived by her husband of 62 years, Edward Waide Warner, and five children, Waide (Cecilia) of New York, NY, Judy Minogue (Jim) of Reston, VA, Jenny O'Neil (Jerry) of St. Louis, Mary Godofsky (David) of Oakton, VA and Elizabeth Tooley (David) of St. Louis, plus 15 grandchilden: Ned, Sarah, Rebecca, and Genevieve Warner; Megan, Ryan, and Kevin Minogue; Patrick, Kevin, and Dan O'Neil; Alex, Peter, and Steven Godofsky; Ted and Katie Tooley; and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her brother Lynn Hauldren and her sisters, Mary Frances Proctor and Judy Reidy Bick. Mrs. Warner was a devout Catholic, a member of the Children of Mary Sodality, a graduate of the Academy of the Sacred Heart (City House), attended Maryville College and graduated from St. John's Hospital School of Nursing. She served on the executive board of the Villa Duchesne-City House Alumnae Association, was a long time volunteer in the Special Care Nursery at St. John's Hospital (Mercy) and was a member of the Friends of Birthright. Services: A Memorial Mass will be celebrated at The Church of the Annunziata in Ladue, 9305 Clayton Road on Sat. May 18 at 2 p.m. There will be a visitation in the church at 1 p.m. Barbara donated her body to St. Louis University School of Medicine. In lieu of flowers, Masses preferred or contributions may be made in Barbara's memory to the Villa Duchesne-City House Alumnae Association Scholarship Fund, 801 S. Spoede Road, St. Louis, MO 63131.
