Katherine Ward Burg

Burg, Katherine Ward Katherine Ward Burg of St. Louis, Missouri, died on Friday, March 1, 2013. She was born in St. Louis on April 23, 1917. She was the daughter of Katherine Bright Burg and William Henderson Burg. She graduated from Mary Institute and was a devoted alumna who spent many years working on the school's archives. During her career as a professional photographer, she took pictures of many prominent St. Louisans in addition to her artistic works. She summered in Nantucket where she was a long time supporter of the Nantucket Conservation Foundation. She was also a supporter of the St. Louis Great Rivers Greenway District, the St. Louis Symphony Orchestra and the Audubon Society of Rhode Island. She will be missed by her many friends and her devoted caregivers. Services: A Memorial Service will be conducted in St. George's Chapel at the Episcopal Church of St. Michael and St. George, Wydown at Ellenwood, Clayton on Friday, March 8 at 3:00 p.m. A reception will follow in the Great Hall.
