David Cheung Obituary

Cheung, David Chi-Kong (February 6, 1938 - September 16, 2013). Rev. David Chi-Kong Cheung went peacefully to be with the Lord. Loving husband of Marjorie for 50 years. Devoted father to Kevin, Karen (Chung Leong) and Kerry. Affectionate grandfather to Matthew, Michael, Nathan Cheung and Evan, Elliott, Ethan Leong. Doting son of the late James and Wai-Yung Cheung. Dear brother to the late Fred (Freda), Margaret (Late Charles Ng), James, Tony (Loretta), Jane (Robin Poon), the late Esther (Kevin Ko) and Linda (Stuart Judge). Adoring uncle and cousin to many. Rev. Cheung was a godly example to many in Christ through his unwavering faith in God and as a prayer warrior. He lived life to the fullest by serving God and others through mentoring, teaching and preaching. He was personable with people from all walks of life and always had a generous sense of inclusion. He enthusiastically enjoyed fellowshipping over gourmet food and sharing witty jokes. Services: Visitation at the Ortmann Stipanovich Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur Fri. Sept. 20 from 4 to 8 p.m. Worship and celebration of life service Sat. Sept. 21, 10 a.m. with visitation one hour prior at Kirk of the Hills Presbyterian Church, 12928 Ladue Rd., 63141. Interment Bellerive Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donation may be made to Covenant Theological Seminary, St. Luke's Hospital (The Life and Hope Fund) or Carmel Secondary School in Hong Kong. The family wishes to thank Dr. Paul Mennes and Dr. Maged Haikal and the staff at St. Luke's Hospital for their compassionate and devoted care.

It is a sad news because Rev. David Cheung was my mentor and example in serving Him. I know that when he met Jesus, he would be praised for surrender all to The Lord. May God comforts his family in the time of sorrow.
