Ernest M. "Bud" McGrath

McGrath, Ernest M. Bud Fortified with the Sacraments of the Holy Mother Church on Wed., Jan. 23, 2013. He was born on March 24, 1928 in St. Louis to the late Dr. Ernest M. McGrath, a WWI and WWII veteran, and the late Marion L. McGrath; beloved husband of Helen P. McGrath for 27 years and the late Anastasia Melba McGrath for 33 years; beloved brother of the late Donald T. McGrath; loving father of Nicholas W. (Kathy) Weiss, Marion J. McGrath and Ernest M. (Lena) McGrath; dear stepfather of Debbie (Bob) Seyer, Steve (Denise) Johnson, Barb (Rob) Morris, Dave (Peggy) Johnson and Eric (Renata) Johnson; cherished grandfather of Nick (Brandy), Jeff (Danielle), Anthony, Anastasia, Allison, Justin (Dani), Erin, Ryan, Matt, Rebecca, Rachel, Rheanna, Katie, Daniel, Eric, Sarah, Miles and Antonia and great-grandfather of Owen, Naomi, Jack, Mickey, Gianna, Abigail and Lauren; and held dearly in the hearts of numerous more relatives and friends. He served in the Army during WWII (Japan) 46-48 and enjoyed a successful career in sales engineering. Bud and his family would like to express a warm thank-you for all who have supported and cared for him over the last few years. Services: Funeral from the ORTMANN STIPANOVICH Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, Mon. Jan. 28, 9:30 a.m. to Incarnate Word Church for 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial. Interment Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society. Visitation 3-7 p.m. Sunday.
