James Schultz Obituary

Schultz, James R. Thurs., April 18, 2013. Beloved husband of Caroline Schultz (nee Brindley); dear father and father-in-law of Steven (Elizabeth), Kurt (Tamara) and Lori Schultz; dear grandfather of Anna (John) Proulx and James (Denise), Nicholas (Laura), David, Joseph, Brett (Amanda) and Kaitlyn Schultz; dear great-grandfather of Maya, Nokomis, Althea, Mathias, Rylin and Reagan. Jim was an avid golfer and an accomplished jazz saxophone musician who played professionally in St. Louis for over 50 years. He retired from the wholesale hardware industry after 50 years. Services: Visitation at the ORTMANN STIPANOVICH Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, Mon., April 22 from 4-8 p.m. Funeral will be held at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 13014 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, on Tues., April 23 at 10 a.m. with visitation at church 1 hour prior to service. Interment Memorial Park Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions to Holy Cross Lutheran Church appreciated.

Well, goodness, I think I hear an angel singing Walking My Baby Back Home. Never saw Jim without a smile. I think he's up there laughing with Mom and Aunt Nokie, remembering old times and getting ready to play Take Five with Dave Brubeck.

Caroline and family,
So sorry to hear of your loss. Your Jim was a really special guy. I fondly remember bringing him his first Chicago Style hot dog and enjoying lunch with a beer with him not that long ago. May our Lord bless you and comfort you with the memories of what he was to you all.
