Marilyn J. Myers

Myers, Marilyn J. (nee Lewis), Thurs., Oct. 3, 2013 at age 89. Beloved wife of the late Earl M. Myers; dear mother and motherin-law of Cynthia Ludewig, Eric (Brenda) Myers, Maureen (Charles) Toland, Michelle (Stan) O'Donnell-Gulick and Tracy Myers; dear sister of Dorothy McDaniel, Frank Lewis and the late Al, Gene and Bob Lewis; dear grandmother of 17, great-grandmother of 8; our dear sister-inlaw, aunt, great-aunt, cousin and friend. Marilyn grew up in Lawrence, Kansas, moving to St. Louis as a child. She received scholarships to attend the University of Iowa, where she met and married Earl. Throughout her life, she was an avid genealogist, teacher, scout leader, world traveler and puppeteer. She was the Founder, Director and Teacher of Mt. Zion United Methodist Church Pre-School. She was an active member and board member of the Puppet Guild of Greater St. Louis. She was a member of Puppeteers of America (past board member) and International Puppetry Organizations. She brought an amazing amount of enthusiasm regarding the arts, culture, history and worldwide travel to all of her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Services: at the ORTMANN-STIPANOVICH Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur, Mon., Oct. 7, 1 p.m. Interment Bellerive Gardens Cemetery.
