Richard Dean "Dick" Metts

Metts, Richard Dean Dick age 74, of Bonita Springs, Florida, passed away Sun., Nov. 4, 2012, at his residence. He was born Dec., 1, 1937 in St. Louis County, Missouri and spent most of his life in the St. Charles County, Missouri area. He is preceded in death by parents, Ida and Ferman Metts; brothers, Guy Gorded, Vernon Metts; and sister, Bonnie Gorden Mills. He is survived by his wife, Mary Lee Metts; daughters, Donna Metts, Tracy Metts Kuhlmann; sisters, Ruth Gorden Sears, Geri Metts Gilbert and Betty Metts Sparks; grandsons, Noah and Carter, sons of Steven and Andrea Young; Brian and Jackie, Katie, Nick Toeniskoetter and Chris and Cathy, Madison, Logan Toeniskoetter. Richard served in the Missouri National Guard from 1957-1962. He was a professional Land Surveyor for 40 years, owning Metts Surveying Company in O'Fallon, Missouri. He was a Real Estate Broker for 25 years owning Metts Realty, Land Development and Building Company in St. Charles County. He was active in the building and development of many subdivisions and special projects in and around the St. Charles County area. Richard has remained a member of the Missouri Society of Professional Surveyors since 1957. He is survived by many friends and relatives. Services: AMemorial gathering will be on Sat., Dec. 1, from 5-8 p.m. at the ORTMANN-STIPANOVICH Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd., Creve Coeur. In lieu of flowers, contributions to ASPCA or the Salvation Army Appreciated.
