Matthews, Roselyn (nee Kenny), Baptized into the hope of Christ's resurrection on Thurs., Jan. 31, 2013. Beloved wife of the late Harold E. Matthews; beloved aunt of Michael L. Kenny, J. Patrick Kenny, Margaret Roth, Elizabeth Fleming, Kathleen Sneed, M. Eileen Kenny and the late Mariclare Byron; our dear cousin, sister-in-law, great-aunt and dear friend to many. Services: Visitation at the ORTMANN STIPANOVICH Funeral Home, 12444 Olive Blvd, Creve Coeur, Mon., Feb. 4, 3-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at St. Peter Church, 324 S. Third St., St. Charles, Tues., Feb. 5 at 10 a.m. with visitation at church one hour prior to mass. Interment Florida National Cemetery.

My sympathy to all of Ros' nieces and nephews and their families. Ros had a wonderful way of making all of us feel very special. Before I entered the Visitation Sisters in the summer of 1964 (!) I was Ros' guest in D.C. where she showed me the best time ! Through the years she made it a point to keep in touch, sending our Mpls community FL citrus fruit to keep us healthy through the long MN winters. She visited me at the Georgetown Visitation and I would visit her and Matt if we happened to be in D.C. at the same time. Her gracious, selfless manner, along with her strong faith and joyful spirit are lasting legacies that she shares with us. She was the last "first" cousin to my father's family. I love it that she went home to God on the first Friday of February and feast of St. Brigid of Ireland ! The heavenly choir will benefit from her voice ! Love and prayer to all the "Kenny" family... I will be with you in spirit at the wake and funeral.
