Ann Louise "Tootsie" Schmitz

Schmitz, Ann Louise Tootsie 76 years old, on Friday, October 12, surrounded by her family, and fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church. Born in Cadet, Missouri, June 11, 1936. Loving daughter of the late Timan W. Portell and Mary Genevieve Dean, and daughter-inlaw of the late Fred Schmitz and Margaret Mox Anth; beloved wife of 59 years of Raymond W. Schmitz, formerly of Kirkwood, MO; loving mother of Dennis (Lyn), Dan (Peggy) and Pam (John Maurath); dearest grandmother of Scott, Kevin and Brian Schmitz and Christopher and Megan Schmitz, and Ryan and Danya Michniok; loving sister of Lillian Lil Williams and Clifford (Bonnie) Portell and the late Verna Renfro, Eugene Geno Portell, Phillip Mouse Portell and JoAnn Portell; dear sister-inlaw, cousin, aunt, great aunt, great great aunt and beloved friend to many. The family would like to offer a special thank you to Mercy Hospice and especially to Jane Williams for the loving care given to Mrs. Schmitz. Services: Funeral from KUTIS AFFTON CHAPEL, 10151 Gravois Tuesday, October 16, 9am to St. Michael the Archangel Catholic Church in Shrewsbury for 9:30am Mass. Entombment Resurrection Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent to St. Vincent dePaul Society or Holy Masses offered for the repose of Ann's soul. Visitation Monday 3-8pm.
