Hello Koenig Family,
I was very sad to hear the news of Mr. Koenig. My mom Deanna (Mutz) Collins informed of the news. I will always remember my boyhood days in the old neighborhood. They were great times and I think every boy should experience what I did with your great (big) family. I especially remember the time he opened your front door and yelled to us "there are 3 things you never argue about... politics, religion and taxes". I guess we were talking about some event between kickball and flashlight tag. I always use that phrase he said when amongst my frineds and strangers. Its a great saying and usually calms down everyone. Again my deepest sympathy for your family. He was a good man.
Hope you all are doing well. I live in Indianapolis but still consider myself an Ohio and Missouri boy.
Take care...
Tim Collins

Although I have not attended St Catherines for some years, I remember John & Anita being very involved in church, youth and adult organizations.
May he rest in peace.

We are so sorry to hear of John's passing. What a great guy and what a great family man! I remember fondly of those CYC meetings where John was always "speaking his mind" and I fondly smile when I recall all those hours when we discussed (OK argued!) sports on WGNU. My listeners loved John. To Anita and the rest of the Koenig family, you are in our thoughts and prayers.

Anita and Family: We were so saddened to hear of John's death. We feel fortunate to have had the wonderful friendship with John and all of the wonderful Koenig family over the years. John was truly a great guy who was so enjoyable to be around. I will really miss getting to share with John our favorite drink that we often celebrated through the years. Our thoughts and prayers are with you during this time.
