Karen and family, I have very fond memories of working with David in the ministers' association in Alton. And a very memorable day amazingly crossing paths with you and David at a restaurant in Buffalo when you had only been there a few days, and we just happened to be crossing Wyoming as tourists. He will shine on with all of us in our hearts.

David was my colleague in Godfrey, and kaffee klatch buddy in Alton. His candor never left you in doubt of his views. His broad learning always made for lively conversation. He served the church faithfully, asking each congregation to defend its assumptions with evidence. I am sure he is now active as ever, in perpetual light.

Karen and family:
Sorry to hear about David's passing. He was a good minister and he did a good job when he served at Community Congregational UCC in Godfrey. My prayers are with you and your family.

Heaven is enhanced by the presence of Pastor David. He had many friends here in Buffalo when he served the Union Congregational Church.
To live in hearts we leave behind
is not to die.
