Doris has been a respected and dear friend since the early 1960's when we met at Great books. She was extremely bright, compassionate, and full of good humor. I appreciated her many years as co-leader of our Great Books group. She became another role model for me with her work in League of Women Voters. We remember many pleasant evenings spent at our annual Great Books picnics in her beautiful yard. Doris will live in memory as long as those she touched still live. Our most sincere sympathy to her children and grandchildren.
