What a wonderful nurse Dorothy was! She was my mentor, as a new graduate nurse at St. Joseph Hospital of Kirkwood, and her patience and willingness to teach meant the world to me. She was invariably calm and gracious in the most trying and difficult situations, and had a great sense of humor after everything calmed down. I was truly blessed to work with Dorothy. I am sorry to learn of the passing of this wonderful woman. My sympathies are with her family.

The entire Dress family was so lucky to have the Cramer family as our neighbors, and our mother, Jeanne, was especially lucky to have Dorothy as her good friend. They were almost like sisters. I will never forget their grape jelly making experience, or the sound of one of them saying to the other, "Mayday! Mayday!" Dorothy was a wonderful and warm person. We all were lucky to know her. My sincere sympathy to your entire family.

As 'youngsters' we had neighborhood friends - great for us. My mother, Jeanne, had Dorothy: they supported, shared, and continue to love each other so very much. During depths or heights, they blessed each other in so many ways. I give thanks for their abiding friendship for each other. It continues...

Dorothy & Chuck were the best "pretend Grandparents" that Nora and Hope could ever have. What an incredible example of love, grace and kindness! Our hearts go out to all of the Cramer Family, especially you Chuck.
Eternal rest grant unto her O Lord...
