Peters, Ernest Fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church on Friday, July 19, 2013. Beloved husband for 58 years of the late Elizabeth C. Betty Peters (nee Shelton). Beloved father of Ernest Jr. (Kimberly), the late James, Elizabeth (Tom Shilling), Frances (Robert) Hanson, and Michael (Roselyn). Our dear grandfather, great grandfather , brother, uncle, cousin and friend to many. Ernie served in the United States Navy as an electrician on the USS Tazewell in the South Pacific during WW II. He enjoyed serving as usher at St. Mary Magdalen in Brentwood for 60 years. Ernie was an officer in the Sunnen Association of Retired Persons (SARP) for 25 years. Services: Funeral Mass Tues., July 23, 10 a.m. at St. Mary Magdalen, Brentwood. Interment National Cemetery Jefferson Barracks. In lieu of flowers, Masses are preferred.
