I am very sad to hear of Jim's passing. My deepest sympathy to all his family. I met Jim when he was a teenager and we both worked at the IHOP on Manchester Road in Des Peres. Since that was the only place I saw him, our paths didn't cross much in the last 30 years or so. He was a great worker and fun guy and I knew it would be a good day when we worked together. He was and alwlays be one of my favorite people in my world. OJOTRPDQ, Jim!
Love, Mary March

Very sorry to hear of Jim's passing. What a great guy. Those of us early Telecom folks could always count on Jim being there with a smile on his face and a can-do attitude. He was one of those rare individuals that truly made the world a better place. His spirit will live on in the lives of anyone who had the pleasure to know him.

I was saddened by the death of Jim aka “Scotty”. As a fellow Lindgator, I want to extend my most sincere sympathy to his entire family and all those he is leaving behind.
Scotty was a real community leader and served as an example to all of us. Besides being one of the best divers and 'kick-the-can' players in Lindgate while growing up, his work with amateur baseball and softball will long be remembered.
Sincerely,
Brink

I'll never forget the wild poker games we had in high school, or Jim's football exploits (he was a brute!). He was a great guy and pleasure to be around. Jim accomplished some great things in his life. He will be missed...

I am so sorry to hear about Jim's passing. He was such a great guy & one of the best salesmen at SWB Telecom. And he always made me laugh. The world is a little bit less happy without him here.

Words cannot express my sadness to the family of my old pal "Scotty."
I remember fondly high school together and the day he convinced me to go to the U of Tulsa and even more importantly to become a Pledge at the Kappa Sigma Fraternity House and ultimately his fraternity brother. He was one of my true friends and will cherish all the memories he provided me with! AEKDB from Lon! God Speed!

To Jim's family please accept my condolences on your loss. While I have known Jim for 50 years and lost touch after high school my fondest memories of Jim come from our days playing little league baseball together for the Smith Shoes and Mayor Shoes team coached by Jim's father Harry. Jim's enthusiasm for the game of baseball and his team of which he was the finest catcher and hitter around was one we all admired. I knew when I first met Jim and his dad at around 7 years old what special people they were. For the good part of six years with the team Jim and his dad would pick up myself and other teammates for games and practice because our folks were working or just not able to provide transportation. Jim obviously carried on the spirit of giving well beyond those years long ago. God bless you Jim and thanks for the memories.

We will really miss our friend! Scotty was a GREAT friend! You always knew that you were going to have a good time if you were going to be with him! I loved being around him! This is a picture of a young Jimmy at my halloween party in 1982! He came as curtains! Typical Scotty humor!!
