Virginia Smith

Smith, Virginia (Hubbard), passed Sat., April 27, 2013 at her home, attended by her loving husband and children. Born Nov. 4, 1923, Houston, MO; graduated Houston High in 1941. She was a secretary at the Jefferson City Capitol and MU. In 1947 married Herbert Smith. She was a beloved member of her church and a good friend to her family and all she met. Survived by her husband Herbert Ernest Smith; children Steve (Rose) Smith, Becky (Smith) (Jim) Dale, and Sylvia Smith; grandchildren Michael (Ceci) Santos, Herbert Smith, Amanda and Jeremy Marling; great-grand- children Marco and Mia Santos; sisters Helen Huss (Hubbard) and Roma Hollenbeck (Ross, Hubbard); brother Ransom Bruce Hubbard; and many nieces and nephews. Preceded in death by her parents Ransom and Nellie Hubbard, brother John Hubbard and daughter Christine Smith. Services: Visitation Tues. April 30, 4-8, Bopp Chapel, Kirkwood. Funeral Wed., May 1, 11 am, Webster Groves Christian Church, 1320 W. Lockwood, Glendale, MO. Memorials preferred to Webster Groves Christian Church. In terment Thurs.
