Dr. Ira Gall will never be forgotten -he was always kind, concerned, helpful, professional, and, went out of his way to help others - "Thank you, Dr. Gall, for helping me have my daughter" - now in her forties, and, a beautiful, intelligent, motivated physician (anesthesiologist), who has practiced in Chicago, Houston, and, now, Las Vegas ----yes, your "babies" have done wonderful things, and, have helped many people.

Dr Gall was my obstetrician for many years and delivered 3 of my 4 children. He was a wonderful man with a great sense of humor. I was glad that he waited to retire once my children were all born. Only later did I realize what an amazing philanthropist he was. My condolences go out to his family. He has left the world a better place and he will be missed but never forgotten.

I too had the privilege of being a patient of Dr. Gall from the time I was 19 until he retired. He called me every week from Palm Springs to check on my medical status leading up to an important surgery near the end of his career. No other doctor I've known has treated his patients in such a caring manner. The last time I saw him at my post-op appointment, I told him how proud I was to be one of his patients and that I knew that I had received the very best care because of him. I was so glad that I had the opportunity to tell him this. I loved him very much and was so sad to see his obituary. My deepest sympathy to his beloved family.

I just learned through my St. Louis son, who remembers how much I admired, and respected Dr Gall, of his passing. He left Yom Kipur services over 46 yrs ago to deliver my oldest of three children. When he told me our wait would be a few hours, I suggested he come back after attending to High Holy Days. He made a humorous comment to put me at ease, which he was so good at with his patients, and said he wasn't going anywhere. I will always remember him as a caring, giving person and a very dedicated, skilled physician. My deepest sympathies to his family.

He was 28 and I was 18 when my aunt, Joan Kastner, who was Dr. Masters' secretary, suggested that I see his new protege, Dr. Gall at St. Louis Maternity. I remained his patient until the day he retired. He actually took care of three generations in our family. He was the most caring doctor who guided you through the most difficult of times and illnesses as well as the happiest deliveries of your babies. No one can replace him in my heart. Dear Judith and Family, we all are grieving with you.
