My Endicott College days were made even more fun with my dear roommate Joan. When I first arrived as a Freshman, she asked me if I had a ticking clock. I said "yes". She immediately went out and bought me an electric one. Now everyday I hear a ticking clock I think of Joan! So many memorable times at Endicott . . . roof-top tans by Easter every year, having that "hidden Key". Travelling to Bowdoin for a week-end Frat party. Such innocence in those years but growing up with my friend Joan was a lifelong happening. She was so smart and taught me the art of studying for better grades. Thanks for the memories. I love you Joan and will miss you more. Jody

When I gave Joan a lift from the airport to a Great Neck (NY) high school reunion, among the first things she said was "Do I know any 'dumb blond' jokes?" Her humor after 50 years was evident. God bless you Joan .

At a Great Neck (NY) high school reunion , I drove her to and from the airport. Among the first things she said to me was "Do you have any 'blond' jokes for me "?
She showed the same humor 60 years ago.

Dearest Aunt Joan, I will always remember your kind heart. You never ever forgot to send me a birthday card, so organized like your brother, my dear dad. Thx for coming to both my kids Bar/Bat Mitzvahs, that meant so much. I will miss you. Love always, Judy, Jim, Zach, Mattie and Coco Doxie.

Joan was one of the most fun loving, joyful and open people I have ever known. She accepted people as they were and found fun in everything. I will dearly miss her smile and her laughter, and her wonderful hugs. Love you Joan!
