Boschert, Alma Amy 80, loving spouse of John (Jack) C. Boschert, both of St. Charles, MO, died peacefully on Wednesday, March 26, 2014 at home surrounded by her family. Amy was born January 13, 1934 in Chicago, IL to Raymond and Frieda (Schaefer) Haugen and was raised in Wisconsin where she graduated from Wisconsin Dells High School. She moved to the St. Charles area where she married her former husband David Meyer and raised four daughters, Gail Kohlmeyer of Virginia Beach, VA, Karen Reeves of St. Charles, Audrey Meyer Lampert of North Granby, CT and Joan Meyer Kice of Memphis, MO. Amy is preceded in death by her parents, and is survived by her daughters, and three step children, Michael Boschert of St. Charles, Joseph Boschert of O'Fallon, MO, and Judy Ware of Georgia; her sisters, Pam Voit of Colorado, Marion Kubasch of St. Charles, Cathy Friedhoff of Florissant; seventeen grandchildren; one great granddaughter, and friends who were honored to have known her. Amy worked more than 20 years at Hackmann Lumber Co., and after retiring was able to join Jack in realizing her lifelong dream of traveling the world. She was known by her family and friends for her generous spirit, quick wit, and beautiful blue eyes. A committed volunteer, Amy donated her time and talents to many causes, including the Girl Scouts, the Fraternal Order of Eagles, and in retirement; the Borromeo St. Vincent de Paul Society as well as Community Living Incorporated. An avid and life-long learner, Amy was a graduate of Lindenwood College, where she received both her B.A. and M.B.A. Services: Her family will receive visitors on Monday, March 31, from 9-10 a.m. at St. Charles Borromeo Church, with a funeral mass to follow at 10 a.m. Burial will follow immediately at the Borromeo Cemetery on Randolf Street in St. Charles, with a luncheon hosted for guests following all services at the Borromeo Cafe.
