Duke, Curry Lee passed away, Saturday, May 28, 2011 at the age of 84. Beloved Husband for 59 years of Nina Duke (nee Norman); Devoted Father of Patricia Faust and the late Karl Duke; Loving Grandfather of Michael Faust, Jennifer Mitchell, Ashley Duke and Jeffrey Faust; Father-in-law of Robert Faust and Joan Guillory; Son of the late Addie and Ethel Duke; Brother of the late Austin and Billie Duke and Verdean Tyler; Brother-inlaw, Uncle, Great-Uncle, GreatGreat-Uncle, Godfather and Special Friend to many. Curry proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Then proudly served the citizens of the City of St. Louis as a Police Officer for 38 years. Curry was a member of the St. Louis Police Veterans' Association, Mizpah Mt. Moriah #40 Masonic Lodge, Scottish Rite and The American Legion Post #556. He was highly respected and loved by his family and friends who nicknamed him Mr. Friendly and Mr. Polite. He will be missed by all. Services: Funeral service at St. Mark Presbyterian Church, 601 Claymont Drive, Ballwin, Thursday, 11 a.m. Interment Sunset Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Backstoppers. Visitation at the SCHRADER Funeral Home and Crematory, 14960 Manchester Road at Holloway, Ballwin, Wednesday 4-8 p.m. and at Church on the morning of the service from 10 a.m. until time of the service.
