DeBlaze, Dolores, I. September 30, 2012. Beloved wife for 44 years of the late Thomas F. DeBlaze; loving mother of Dawn K. DeBlaze- Herron (John Herron) and Scott T. (Sara) DeBlaze (Chicago), dear sister of Aline Howell (late Carl); cherished grandmother of Sophia and Francesca DeBlaze; beloved daughter of late Mabel Duckwitz (nee Goers) and George Duckwitz; loving sister-in-law, aunt, great aunt, niece, cousin and best friend to many. Compassionate, loving, and devoted to her family and friends, Dolores will be remembered as an excellent nurse with a selfless attitude and conscientious nature. A country girl at heart, she enjoyed gardening, quilting, cats, watermelon and Cardinal baseball. She continued her love of travel after retiring from a 35yr medical career at Christian NE Hospital in 1996. Many will recollect her generosity and knack for creative/clever writing. Dolores' final gift was to donate her brain for research to Washington University Medical School. She was a wonderful Christian who led her life as a reflection of her faith. Dolores will be desperately missed by family, friends and church members. Her spirit will forever light the path of the lives she touched. Services: Memorial Service Saturday, October 6 (11 am) at St. John Lutheran Church in Warrenton, MO, followed by a celebration of life. In lieu of flowers, please remember Dolores in a memorial to St. John Lutheran Church Building Fund, Siteman Cancer Center or CLC Hospice.
