Beloved wife of the late Cletus Anthony Ahrens; dear mother of Marian Eleanor (Donovan) Robertson of Bettendorf, IA, Anna Geraldine (Jamieson Spencer) Ahrens, Concetta Angela 'Connie' Ahrens and the late Vincent Theodore Ahrens; dear grandmother of Anna Ruth 'Roonie' and Mary Elizabeth 'Mary Beth' Kratky, Eleanor Anna 'Nellie', Margaret Marian 'Maggie' and Catherine Sedgebrook Dankmyer and Kate Spencer; dear sister of William (Maeve) Battipaglia of Sag Harbor, NY and Gerald (Dolores) Battipaglia of Danbury, CT; dear sister-in-law of Marcella Ahrens and Laverne Battipaglia; special aunt of Linda McCarron Benken, Pamela McCarron Copeland and Gerard Vincent McGahan.
Ellie was born June 3, 1923 in Bronx, NY, married Clete Ahrens Aug. 25, 1946 and moved to St. Louis. She never lost her New York accent. Clete and Ellie lived for many years in Quail Ridge, Boynton Beach, FL. Ellie loved to Golf and read, but above all she loved her family.Services: Visitation Tues., 10:00 a.m. until time of Mass 11:00 a.m. at St. Clement Catholic Church, 1510 Bopp Rd. (Des Peres). Interment Resurrection Cemetery. Masses preferred or memorials to Villa Duchesne/Oak Hill School Library Fund, 801 S. Spoede Rd., 63131. Arrangements by BOPP CHAPEL.
