Radke, Ethel Charleslie (nee Bell), entered heaven September 10, 2013 at 96. Ethel was born November 27, 1916 and was preceded in death by her parents John Bell and Anna Davidson (nee Flowers); husband Dean F. Radke; sisters Velma Rakey and Mildred Avanelle Ward. Ethel is survived by dear relatives and close friends. During WWII, Ethel assembled tanks that her husband and others would use from Africa to Europe. Afterwards, Sanford Brown Business College skills helped her start a business with her husband. Later, she volunteered with the local Civil Defense organization. Ethel was a member of the Lake Tishomingo Garden Club from 1960 -2001. She won many ribbons for her flower arrangements, worked on flower beds at Jefferson College and Governor Fletcher House. Later, Ethel took courses in computer, painting, egg art, and received a U.S. patent for a medical device in 2007. Ethel was a mother, mentor, friend, encourager, teacher, and a member of the Arnold First Baptist Church. Her sense of humor, grace, and curiosity for learning will live on through those who knew her.
