Georgia Fischer Obituary

Fischer, Georgia L. (nee Stosberg), fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Mother Church, March 8, 2008 at the age of 83. Georgia was preceded in death by her dear husband, Edward M. Fischer in February, 1995. She leaves two sons, James E. Fischer (Anne Miller) of Chesterfield, MO and Donald C. Fischer (Diane Lee) of Naples, FL. She is the dear grandmother of Jenna Fischer of Burbank, CA; John Fischer (Lisa DePauw) of Edwardsville, IL; Emily Elmore (Dwight Elmore) of St. Louis, MO; Mark Fischer (Kerry Touhey) of Milwaukee, WI. She enjoyed one great-grandson, Thomas (Mark and Kerry Fischer). She was also preceded in death by her only sister, Jeanne Robertson (nee Stosberg) in July, 2007. She was a beloved aunt, great-aunt, sister-in-law, cousin and dear friend of many, including those in Assumption Parish, Assumption Valley and most recently her 'new family' at the Garden Villas South Retirement Community.Services are being provided by KUTIS AFFTON Chapel, 10151 Gravois, St. Louis, MO where visitation will be Friday, March 14 from 4-8 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial Saturday, March 15 at 9:30 a.m. at Assumption Catholic Church (4725 Mattis Rd.) followed by interment at Resurrection Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Central Institute for the Deaf (CID), 314-977-0132, 4560 Clayton Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110, www.CID.edu (825 S. Taylor Ave., St. Louis, MO 63110).
