Thank you for reminding me of a great man and friend. Gib was always laughing and generous in his knowledge of art. He was always available to teach the wax method of creation. I lost the silver cross he gave me. Does anyone know the foundry in Colorado that produced Gib´s crosses? Please let me know. 505-907-9390. Gracias Gib and all his friends.

Remembering our friend Gib on this sixth anniversary of his passing. We continue to enjoy his sculptures and they remind us of him and his great talents daily. We were fortunate to have known the man behind the talent and call him a friend.

I just discovered this inspired man. I saw the crucifix that topped the Papal staff of St. John Paul II and noticed that FINALLY an artist had captured the true passion and death of Jesus Christ in all it's divine horror. Finally! I went on a search for the artist and found Gib. NOW I find that he has passed on the the true reward for his work. I'm so sorry I missed him! Lynne Stansbery

Gib was my friend whose memory will always be with me forever. I met Gib in 1975 in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla.. Gib had opened his own art studio and foundry and named it The Renaissance Art Gallery and Lost Wax Foundry. I knew nothing about art, but Gib took me under his wing and taught me about the lost wax process of making molds and casting molten bronze. I miss him very much, I would call him every few months or so just to say Hi and to tell him I loved him and he always answered back that I love you too. The world lost a great artist, but those that knew him lost a great friend. Love Always, Gary McCullough Sr.

I have been asked to extend Sympathies to all on behalf of my uncle, Norman John Brokaw, my mom, Shirley Parmley and Gib's High School Classmates. My mom was in art class with Gib. She said, he was a wonderful artist & was always ‘ahead of his time'. She said, ‘he was the first Beatnik in Granite City'. Also, I wanted you to let you know, George Pellet cherished his friendship with Gib. They talked often. George passed away in January 2013. George use to tell me great stories of his good times with Gib.

We bonded with the Gib over a mutual love of Morgan cars before we knew that he was a famous sculptor. Then we became admirers and collectors of his works, like so many others. He was a unique, kind, humorous, spiritual man, and we are so glad we were able to meet him and enjoy time with him and Eve. To meet Gib was to make an instant friend. To Eve and family, we send our sincere condolences and pray for your peace and comfort in this sad time. Gib will be truly missed.
