Gladys Hicks

Hicks, Gladys In Loving Memory of Gladys Hicks October 26th, 1947 thru November 10th, 2012. Mrs. Hicks was the daughter of Clarence and Kizzie Browning Sinclair, the sister of Tommie McIntosh, the wife of Dennis Hicks, the mother of Terrance and Todd Hicks, and the loving aunt and cousin of many. Gladys was a gourmet cook, meticulous home decorator and gardener, and a very competitive game player. Gladys was raised in Cleveland by her aunt, Bobby Sanford, and was the valedictorian of her class at East Technical High. And she attended Mt. Union College in Alliance, Oh. She was also the friend of many, both at First Church of Christ, Scientist, St. Louis, and through her work for the Mideast Area Agency on Aging where she worked tirelessly to make the lives of senior citizens better throughout St. Louis, St. Charles and Jefferson counties. In addition, she was a world traveler, having visited Scotland, Italy, England, Germany, Ireland, Canada, Mexico and the Caribbean. Services: A memorial service will be held for Gladys at BUCHHOLZ Mortuary on Friday, November 16th at 4 p.m. at 619 St. Francois St. in Florissant.
