Of all my teachers at every level, Mrs. Mayer stands alone. I will never forget her professionalism, kindness, and encouragement. My only regret is that we never met after my graduation. She would have been a truly valued friend.
How appropriate that she would have wanted tributes to be sent to the Open Door Animal Sancturary.
