Thoughts and prayers to you and your family at this sad time. Jim became a friend of my family back in the late 50's while playing AA ball for the Cardinals in Omaha. I remember his smile and how he always took time to talk with my brother and me.

Mr and Mrs Donahue were genuinely interested in everyone who came into their home. The Donahue home warmly welcomed all guests. As an introverted kid, Mr Donahue had a way of building my self-confidence by congratulating me on something I had accomplished, but had never shared with him. Considering my sports had nothing to do with Jim Jr's, I was always wondered how he came up with the info. It was because he cared. Mr D was larger than life to me. A great man and a great family.

Rest in peace Bones... I'm going to miss you a lot especially all our baseball conversations and the many projects I was able to help you with. Thanks for always loving me and treating me as your son. Enjoy the endless games of ball you'll get to play in heaven. Love always, Michael

I want to offer my condolences to Judi and the children. He was a wonderful man and a good friend. He always had time for everyone and never knew a stranger.

As friends and family say farewell to Jim, he is being welcomed with love by friends and family who have gone before him. I know Jim is with his CBC buddies telling stories and replaying every game and event. Bones and Hoz are together again.

God speed, Jim.

Bones taught my 2 boys how to pitch and to throw a 12 to 6 curve ball. He also helped me coach my oldest son's CYC team to the City/County championship in 1998. He was always great with the kids and a delight to be around. Bones was loved by all

Jim would visit our sporting goods store when I was in high school..I'd grab a catchers mitt off the shelf and go out on the parking lot and he would pitch to me...never forget...what a great guy...we will miss him..God Bless.

Jim was a 1956 graduate of CBC and a loyal son of it. He was a long-time supporter of our school and deservedly a member of the Alumni Hall of Fame.
His wife, Judy, was the Nerinx Hall representative to the 1958 CBC La Promenade Militaire.
