Obituary Condolences

Drewes, James William of Warrenton, Mo., passed away on Sunday, February 12, 2012 at St. Joseph Hospital West in Lake St. Louis, Mo., at the age of 88 years. James was born to William James and Emma (nee-Long) Drewes on April 26, 1923 in St. Louis, Mo. He served his country in the U.S. Army during WWII in the South Pacific. He was united in marriage to Marian Olive Hobbs on November 16, 1946 in St. Louis, Mo. Later, he worked for the St. Louis Post-Dispatch for over 40 years until he retired. He was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Warrenton, Mo. Survivors include his beloved wife of 65 years, Marian Olive Drewes of Warrenton, Mo., loving children, James Clark Drewes (Anne) of Ballwin, Mo., Donna Noelker (Mark) of Memphis, Tn., Patricia Jennewein (Gerry) of St. Louis, Mo., Nancy Arendall of Columbia, Mo., and Amy (Dan) of O'Fallon, Mo., thirteen grandchildren, eleven great-grandchildren, other dear relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, William J. Drewes. Services: A gathering will be held on Friday, February 17, 2012 from 9:00-10:00 A.M., at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Warrenton, Mo., with a memorial mass following. A private burial will be at Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St. Louis, Mo. Memorials may be made to C/O Martin Funeral Home, 510 E. Main, Warrenton, Mo. 63383.
