L'Hote, Joan M. (nee Baudendistel), 63, of St Louis, went home to God on September 16, 2013. She was born January 20, 1950 in Perryville, MO, daughter of Louis and Cordula (Leible) Baudendistel. Joan was the loving wife of Hubert Louie L'Hote Jr. They were married July 11, 1970 and lived happily for 43 years together. He survives in St. Louis, MO. Joan had been office manager at L'Hote & Company P.C. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in St. Louis. Joan was a ray of light in the world. She was a friend to many and loved by all who met her. She was a Cheer Grandma, a Hockey Mom, and a Soccer Mom. She loved to dance, color and cuddle with her grandkids, and spend time with her family. Joan was an amazing mother of Kim (John) Evans and Justin (Nikki) L'Hote all of St. Louis. She was the loving and adoring grandmother to Brianna, Jaxon, and Camden. She leaves behind her sisters and brothers: Darlene McLemore of Jackson, Velma (Elmer) Oswald and Doris Hoehn all of Perryville, Donny (Beverly) Baudendistelof St. Charles, Nancy (Sonny) Hagan, Louis Jr (Ann) Baudendistel, and Marilyn (Ronnie) Berkbuegler all of Perryville, MO. As well as nieces, nephews, great-nieces and greatnephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers-in-law, Bob McLemore and Kenny Hoehn, and two nephews, Michael Berkbuegler and Dwayne Cox. Services: Family and friends may pay their last respects on Thursday, September 19 at YOUNG & SONS Funeral Home from 4:00 to 9:00 pm, with parish wake at 7:00 pm, and on Friday, September 20 from 6:30 to 9:30 am. She will then be taken to St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church for Mass at 10:00 am with Rev. Milton Ryan CM officiating. Burial in Mt. Hope Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Washington University Physicians research of Mycobacterium disease or . Young & Sons Funeral Home, Inc. in Perryville, MO provided the arrangements.
