I worked with John on the Catholic Committee for Scouting (BSA) for a long time. He was a wonderful man - kind, gentle, always reliable. I will miss those twinkly blue eyes. He was a good man who devoted his life to making the world a better place. I will miss him but I know he is with Ann and our Lord now.

When I was the tender age of 15, I lucked in to a Summer job in Falstaff's Machine (IBM) Accounting Dept at Gravois & Michigan, the old Stiefel Brewery. John, along with Bill Fogarty, John Scott, and John Halloran, patiently trained me, a grueling task for sure. I spent 2 Summers, '53 & '54 with that "brew-crew". Very memorable. My very best wishes to John's family. He was a neat guy.

We are very sorry to learn of your Dad's passing. We have fond memories of his work with Boy Scout Troop 371 at St. Clare of Assisi. And we especially admire his work with the handicapped Scouts particularly when he took them to summer camp. He set a good example for us all.
