John K. Pruellage Obituary
Pruellage, John K. prominent attorney and community leader, passed away at his home in Ladue on May 5, 2012. He is survived by his three children, Jill Pruellage Hunt (Sean), John K. Pruellage, Jr. (Carol), and William M. Pruellage (Sarah); seven grandchildren, Lauren, Shannon and Connor Hunt, Catherine Pruellage, Elizabeth, Emma and William (Ford) Pruellage, his former wife Patricia Marre Reineke and his stepson, Greg Holzhausen. Jack was born in St. Louis, Missouri, attended St. Louis University, University of Missouri School of Law and George Washington University Law School. He practiced law for 42 year at Lewis, Rice & Fingersh. L.C. and served as the Chairman of the Firm for the past 22 years. He served on the Boards of many charitable and civic institutions including St. Louis University (chairman), St. Anthony's Medical Center, the Boy Scouts of America Greater St. Louis Area Council, Regional Business Council, the United Way and the St. Louis Zoo. He also served on the Boards of Viasystems Group Inc., Banterra Corporation, Fred Weber Corporation and Argent Capital Management. He was a member of Old Warson Country Club (president), Boone Valley Country Club, The Racquet Club, Flooded Farms Duck Club, Confrerie des Chevaliers du Tastevin and Commanderie de Bordeaux a Saint Louis. Services: The funeral mass will be celebrated 10:00 am Friday, May 11 at the Cathedral Basilica of St. Louis, 4431 Lindell Boulevard, St. Louis, MO 63108. No Visitation. In lieu of flowers, the family respectfully requests that contributions be made to the John K. Pruellage Heart and Vascular Center at St. Anthony's Medical Center Foundation, 10010 Kennerly Road, Suite 150, MOB-A, St. Louis, MO, 63128 or St. Louis University, Office of the President, 1 North Grand, St. Louis, MO 63103, or to the charitable organization of the donor's choice.
