Beloved husband for 69 years of Helen Deppe Vollmar; loving father of Helen Vollmar Diepenbrock (Anthony) of Sacramento CA and Jane Vollmar Saunders (Harry); dear grandfather of Laura Diepenbrock Murphy (James) of Los Angeles CA, Mary Meg Diepenbrock Horrigan (Michael) of Burlingame CA and Claire Diepenbrock of Denver CO; great-grandfather of Helen Murphy and Clara Horrigan; dear brother of Lewis C. Vollmar (Olive); brother-in-law of the late Robert Deppe and Edward Deppe (survived by Florence Wade Deppe); uncle, great uncle and a friend to many. Mr. Vollmar was the founder and past president of Vollmar Brothers Construction Company and a past president of the Missouri Athletic Club, The Engineers Club of St. Louis and the Museum of Transportation. Mr. Vollmar was the longest licensed civil engineer in the State of Missouri and a fifty year board member of Rankin Technical Institute (University). Services: The Funeral Service will be conducted at THE LUPTON CHAPEL, 7233 Delmar Blvd., University City on Tuesday, September 20, at 1:00 p.m. The Family will receive friends at THE LUPTON CHAPEL on Monday, September 19, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Private interment Jefferson Barracks Cemetery.
