Many years ago I worked for Dr Eades (and Bruce White). He was my favorite employer, funny, knowledgeable, a positive person and just an all around good guy. It was a pleasure to work for him. Condolences to his family.

Joe was an encourager and a fabulous friend in addition to all his skills and talents. Even the awful disease that took his life could not quench his trust in the Lord and good humor. Love to Ginny and the entire family.

I offer my sympathy to Jenny and the rest of the family. I have told Joe's story many times in conversations and in talks I have given. His seeing his condition as a blessing. It taught him humility and reliance on God. I will never forget that. Blessings and peace for all of you.

Man knows not his time. Joe was a good friend and fellow physician. We shared many times together with other believing physicians and prayed often together. The world looses a really nice guy, but heaven is the beneficiary. Ginny we will pray for your peace but know that Joe's mind is now again brilliant with no confusion.

We all thank Joe for not hiding his light under a basket. His life, especially the last 13 years, has been one of silent teaching to all of us on living with a devastating disease. My love and prayers to Ginny and his children.

May Joe rest in the peace he so richly deserved. He lived a full life and gave so much of himself. The world was a better place because he was here.

As Joe faced Alzheimer's disease, he once said, “The Lord doesn't care what you can do; He cares about who you are. That gives me some peace in this." Joe was a good, brave, loving, gentle, funny and humble person, I hope his example can give all of us, and especially Ginny and his family, some peace as we face this great loss.

My condolences to the Eades family. I knew Dr. Eades from working in the Athletic Dept. of the Missouri Athletic Club from 1979-1982, & 1986-1990. I played volleyball with him , & recall he & Ken Teasdale battling each other on the squash court.
