I only knew Karen for a brief time as she was a neighbor of mine. She always had a smile and a kind word. It was evident she was a wonderful lady & she will truly be missed by those she touched. I am a better person for having known her.

I will miss seeing Karen each day as she walked her dogs passed my house. Whenever I would see her, there was always a great conversation to be had and I enjoyed that so much. Karen and her husband George are two of the strongest most courageous people I have ever known and I will always be grateful to them both for being such wonderful neighbors and friends to my family. My thoughts and prayers are with you , George as I know Karen dwells in the house of the Lord this day.

I've known Karen since high school, and was privileged to be able to be supportive during her chemo and surgery. She was a strong, brave woman. May she indeed 'rest in peace'. I will be out of town at the time of the visitation and service. I'm sorry I'll miss them. I'll be sending prayers to her during those days.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Karen's family and friends. Our paths did not cross much but her name came up a lot in the rescue community. Anything ever said about Karen was positive. She never turned down a homeless animal in need if she could help. The animal rescue communtiy will miss her. Rest in peace.

My dearest Best Friend, I miss you so. My ears yearn to hear your sage advice. As I have told you many times, you are a woman of class and grace, I strive to have a gentle and kind heart like yours. I know you are surrounded by the warmth and love of our LORD, Jesus Christ. I pray sweet memories for your family and loved ones. I will cherish the memories of how your face would light up in the midst of a rescue. It mattered not whether God's creatures hissed at you or lick your face, you loved every minute of it. Your face beamed with joy at helping God's defenseless little ones. The animal rescue community surrounding St. Louis lost a hero and I lost a true friend. I will keep my promise to you. You will always be in my heart. I love you, beautiful lady. To you it will feel like a moment in time before we see each other again, but until then I will miss you, and will smile and think of you anytime I embrace a ball of fur. Furr-ever missing you...Dawne
