This notification reminded me of Lloyd my fellow Seabee. Lloyd was the personification of a real Seabee, and never lost that unique quality. I´m sure he is up their representing the best of us fixing broken stuff.

I think my dad wanted me to have kids more than I did. Haha. I really wish they could have met him but I hope he's able to look down at them and see those magical smiles. Now I understand why kids and family were so special to him.

Lloyd and I became friends when our fathers and brothers were in the explorers together. I remember going on a group date bowling at the old Manchester Bowling Alley in Ellisville and working at the Explorers and Boy Scouts Christmas tree lot at Grazaks Food Store. He will be missed by many. God Bless you Porkie...Love Susie King Bartoloni

I dont have a lifetime of memories with my father but the memories I do have are good ones. I'm really grateful that my father and I were able to cultivate a relationship despite the paths life led us down. I'm grateful that I had such a caring man as my father. I'm grateful for the moments we shared fishing, at the Clydesdales, at the cardinals game, and our talks on the phone. I'm also very grateful that I got to see what an amazing family, both my father and I, come from. I can only hope that I'm able to touch lives and bring joy to others the way people speak of my father doing. Thank you dad, for our time. I hope you're enjoying every cardinal game from the view up there.

To the entire Borgstede family I am so sorry for your loss! Lloyd was a wonderful person whom I loved very much. I will always regret that our marriage didn't work out. I also regret that Jason was not raised around the Borgstede family as I never met an unkind one of you or anyone I didn't care for and respect. Thank you for including Jason in your lives despite the distance. I will tell you Jason has Lloyd's kind heart, is soft spoken, easy going, fun loving, sensitive and would help anyone at anytime. These are all qualities Lloyd had when I knew him. God be with you George and Linda as you take on the tasks of his memorial and other responsibilities you find upon yourselves at such a difficult time. Respectfully, Suzie

Lloyd never held back...on telling his truth or helping anyone. My adult children still speak fondly of him and the kitten he gave them at a difficult time in our lives AND how he was their favorite Santa Claus.

He was a good guy who will be missed by many.

I am an old Seabee myself and appreciated Lloyd for those intangible "Seabee" qualities he displayed. I worked with him at MSD for many years and always sought his help when I encountered an old obscure system. If he did not remember it,he knew where to find it. In addition, Lloyd was a very kind and caring person. We will miss him.

We enjoyed and appreciated Lloyd! From 'cooking dogs' at softball games to being 'Santa' to our children, Lloyds heart was gold. We'll miss you!
