Lorraine Lyles Obituary

Lyles, Lorraine Virginia (nee Nolle), October 21, 2011 at Newton, Kansas. Daughter of William and Esther (Deruntz) Nolle. Wife of Mark A. Lyles, married November 22, 1957. Mother of Mark William Lyles and wife Linda, grandmother of Olivia and Robert Lyles, all of North Newton, Kansas. Sister of Loretta L. Hagedorn and husband Larry of Ferguson, MO. She had many nieces, nephews, godchildren, cousins and friends. Lorraine enjoyed traveling and being with family, visiting friends, playing with her grandchildren and taking care of others. Open arms, Helping hands, Caring heart, that was Lorraine. She was a lifelong member of Hope Lutheran Church, life member of the Salvation Army Women's Auxiliary, Good-Timers Meramec (Arnold) Elks Lodge #2372, Moolah Temple Club, Moolah Mounted Lancer Ladies and many Scottish Rite activities. She was a long time employee of Carter Carburetor. She and her husband had lived in St. Louis until recently relocating to Newton KS. Services: No visitation as Lorraine donated her body to Washington University Medical School. A celebration of life for Lorraine will be held Sunday November 13, 2011 at 3 p.m. at the Scottish Rite 314-533-7510 (parking lot 3632 Olive St., St. Louis MO 63108). Donations may be made to the Walker Scottish Rite Clinic, 3633 Olive St., St. Louis, MO 63108. Arrangements through GERBER CHAPEL (968 2000). Family and friends are invited to sign the online guest register at www.gerberchapel.com.
