Louis Ervin Hirschmugl Obituary
Hirschmugl, Louis Ervin 78, passed away peacefully Saturday morning while listening to the old-timey music he loved best. He is preceded in death by his wife of 44 years, Elizabeth Jane Hirschmugl; parents Stephen and Marie (Zehnder) Hirschmugl; brothers Alan and Richard; and infant grandson Alexander. He is survived by his daughter, Soozin Hirschmugl of Minneapolis; sons Jonathan, Jeremy and Andrew Hirschmugl, all of St. Louis; and grandchildren Jonetta, Anthony and Braeton Hirschmugl, also of St. Louis. Louis served in the Army during the Korean War. He worked as an Assessor for the St. Louis County Government. In his retirement Louis enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels with his beloved wife, bowling with his much loved brother Steven, spending time with his children and grandchildren, and participating in community events at his residence, Holy Angels Apartments. . His sense of adventure, joyfulness and gratitude continues to inspire those who knew him. Services: A memorial service will be held at 3pm Tuesday, Aug. 27, at Holy Angels Apartments II, 3499 DePaul Lane Bridgeton, MO 63044 314-291-1345.
