Obituary Condolences

Gerard, Mary Ann (nee Lauer) Fortified with the sacraments of the Holy Mother Church, Mary Ann passed away peacefully on January 11, 2012 at the age of 83. Dearest wife of the late Charles Gerard; loving mother of four daughters Cheryl Dyer (Jerry), Chris Dieckman (Wayne), Cindy Wright (Mike), all of Warrenton; Carin Hicks (Tadd) of Frontenac and one son, Dale Gerard (Debbie). She was blessed with 10 grandchildren, Stephen Dyer and Erin Dyer Kaminski, Danny and Darren Dieckman, Anna Wright Taylor and Stephanie Wright, Maddison and Nathan Hicks, Travis and Stacy Gerard and 16 great-grandchildren. Also survived by one brother, Richard (Dick) Lauer of St. Charles and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers and one sister. Mary Ann was a beautiful, funloving, vibrant lady who was loved by all who knew her. Her special joys were her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Mary Ann was a member of Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Warrenton and was a long time employee of Chic Lumber. After retiring, she traveled the world with her dear friends. A special thank you to Kim Bakker, her loving caregiver for the past 7 years. She will be dearly missed by all. Services: Visitation will be held on Sunday January 15, 2012, from 4-8 PM at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton, Missouri. A Funeral Mass will be held at Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Warrenton, Missouri on Monday January 16, 2012, at 10 AM. Internment will follow the service at Rock Church Farm Cemetery in Warrenton, Missouri. Memorials may be given to Holy Rosary Catholic Church, The Humane Society or Rock Church Farm Cemetery.
