I just got word. There are no words to describe the loss for everyone. From the basketball in my yard and the just hanging out Mike was a true friend even though the miles made it hard to see each other. You are a memory forever,,,,Love you Mike

I just recieved news of Mikes passing today. I last saw Mike on New Years 2011. We have been corresponding regularly for the past four years.
We were going to be roomates our first semester at Southeast Missouri State, but Mike decided to attend SIU. He was my Classmate, Teamate, and most of all My FRIEND. My prayers go out to all his family. I know how much he will be missed. He was a Brother Vietnam Veteran, and I know we will all be together again.
As Mike would always sign his e-mails to me " I Love You Buddy " !

Mike and his family hold my utmost respect. I was very saddened by this news. Mike and the entire family were all so much enjoyed and loved by my parents. The visits to my Dad's farm still remain a favorite memory with you all. May God Bless each of you and your families. Time and distance separate great friends and families. I'm guilty. However, the friendship and great times are always with us. I do wish this was just a note to say "hi, how are you".

We would like to extend our deepest sympathies to the Macchi family with the passing of Mike. I had the pleasure of working with Mike in St. Louis with SWBT. He was a great friend and coworker. I am sure that he will be missed. We will include him in our prayers.

I am so sorry to hear to this sad news. To Sally, Greg & Jill and Cole and Megan, I will keep your family in prayer. Our family has such nice memories of Mike supporting Justin right along with Cole and all of the KHS baseball family. He said it like it was, good or bad. And we could always count on his support in the concession stand! Hugs to all of you as you deal with this loss. Warmly, Jeanne Stockam and Doug, Justin and Lauren

I just learned of Mike's death. I am so sorry. The last time I saw Mike was New Year's Eve, 2011 at the Bocce Club on the Hill. He and Sally had traveled all the way from Springfield to hang out with me and my wife and friends. It was quite an evening to say the least. An evening that I will never forget.
Mike will be missed. He was a good man and a thoughtful man. He was my friend.

Mike Macchi will always have a special place in my heart! My thoughts and prayers go out to his beautiful family.

Memories of Mike always start with a smile and a laugh. I first met Mike and his sister Lois in St. Louis when he and Sally first fell in love. They took me to "The Hill", and I thought it must be just like New York City it was so cosmopolitan for a kid from Salisbury Missouri. We went to his softball game where Mike was always the power hitter and home run king. No surprise of why my new step sister "Sally" had found the love of her life. He will be missed by all of us fortunate enough to know him, love him and laugh with him. May there be enough Ittalian food and folklore at the Lords table. Rest in peace and may the perpetual light shine upon thee. Cindy Adler

Grief never ends, But it changes. It's a passage, Not a place to stay.

The sense of loss Must give way, If we're to value The life that was lived.

Grief is not a sign of weakness, Nor a lack of faith, It is the price of love.

Sally, Words seem to fail us when we think of Michael and your loss. You are in our prayers. Your Friend, Crystal Buckler

Sally and Family,

So sorry to hear of Mike's death. We had so many good and happy times together with Wayne and Nan and all the kids, who were just little guys when we lived in Springfield. Mike was a good man and always friendly and full of fun. I will keep all of you in our prayers. May he rest in the loving arms of Christ.
