Jaques, Patricia Ann Ann died peacefully surrounded by family in the home she recently shared with her son David and daughter-in-law, Jackie in Kirkwood, MO on February 5, 2013. Beloved wife of the late William (Bill) Robert Jaques; loving mother of Karen, Deborah, David, and Stephen Jaques; mother-in law of Jackie Jaques, Erika Jaques and Ron Sallee; sister of Mary Louise Hess; cherished grandmother of Alejandro, Peter, Rachel, William, Justin, Mariana, Maddy, Julia, Stephen, Cat and Piper. She will be missed by her family and many great friends. Born May 13, 1936 in Slater, MO, Ann led a full life graced with a loving family, deep friendships and a distinguished career in education. Ann dedicated 30 years of her life to education in Chicago and St. Louis, primarily as a guidance counselor and administrator. She retired from Parkway School District in 1999 after serving for 16 years as Assistant Principal at Hannah Woods Elementary. Ann was recognized for her professional excellence and loved by children and adults alike, the latter of whom have remained close friends to this day. Ann had an active social life and belonged to many organizations including the American Association of University Women and several local golf leagues. She was proud that she even won a few bucks golfing. Ann traveled extensively with friends and family, and provided tireless hours of entertainment and care to her children and grandchildren, who hope to carry on the legacy of this remarkable woman. Services: Saturday 1 pm, Delmar Baptist Church, Reception to follow at Longview Farms from 2:30-5:00 pm, burial Sunday, 1 pm at Slater City Cemetery. Memorials may be made to the Humane Society.
