Shields, Renee G. Died peacefully at her home in Creve Coeur, Missouri, Tues., Dec. 17, 2013. Beloved daughter, mother, significant other, granny and friend. Born Feb. 9, 1949, Renee is survived by her parents Richard and Rubelle (Oberdick) Shields. Renee shared the last 22 years with her Significant Other, Dave Drake; loving mother to Julia (Jayson) Dumenigo and Mark Helling; Granny to Alexandra & Paige Dumenigo, and Makenzie, Bethany, and Sebastian Helling; treasured sister of R. Bruce (Nancy) Shields, Rochelle (Terry) Hord, and Robin (Josephine) Shields; Auntie Nee to Andrew, Michael, Nicholas and Benjamin, Megan, Sarah and Kevin, Tiffany and Daniel; her aunt and cousins. Renee loved her family and treasured times when the family was all together. Her last month she was overcome with emotion and happiness to visit with family and lifelong friends. Renee's purpose in life was her devotion to her children and grandchildren. When you think of Renee in the days and years ahead, we hope you'll think of love, laughter and adventure. She experienced all three each and every day. We'll miss her, but we are so very glad she was here. Services: Memorial Mass and Celebration of Renee's Life to be held at Incarnate Word Church, 13416 Olive Blvd., Chesterfield on Sat., Jan. 11 at 11 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations to Boys/Girls Hope of St. Louis, Kids in the Middle or Annies's Hope appreciated.
