To the Stewart Family,
Even though it has been a year, I would like to express my condolences for Bobs passing. I was recently surfing some hockey websites, and I had seen that Bob had passed.
I live in upstate New York, outside of Albany, and I was a big fan of the Seals ( then Barons ) back when I was a teenager in the 70s. I would stay up late at night and listen to Seals games from California on the radio when they played teams from the east. I especially remember Bob as a tough defenseman who would protect his teammates.
Im sure you have many good memories. I wished I could have met him and talked to him to hear some of his hockey stories from back in the day.
Condolences.

Reed Cudmore, Rev.

To the Stewart family,
I just found out about Bob's passing a few days back and wish to add my consolation and that all of you are held in prayer.
I knew Bob from YMCA Camp in Holland Cove, PEI and only played against him in minor hockey, when his checks wouldn't have been as hard in the corners!
RIP and may light shine perpetually...

Heaven is richer and our heavenly family has gained another angel. I met Bob once, after a Bruins game in Boston where he, some teammates, and some of our family members gathered for an after game meal. It is such a treasured memory. Bob made his family proud for all he accomplished, near and far. May he find heaven so full of blessings that his heart just leaps with joy. Give my grandma and mom a hug for me cousin.

Robert, as we called him as youngsters in Charlottetown, was a good friend through elementary and high school, even after he went to Ottawa to play Jr. hockey and on to NHL. He never forgot where he came from and would catch up with friends when he came back to the Island in the summer. My sympathy to Bob's mom and to Joyce and family.

February 7, 2017

I was saddened to read of Bobby's passing. I knew him from MANY years ago when he played ball in the summers on PEI then off to training camp in mid-August.
Who can forget the pastels in the Seal's uniforms, and then I followed his time with the Barons, for reasons you will understand when you read my name.
His former ball teammate Bobby MacMillan was no longer with the Blues when Bob got to St Louis, but the local papers kept him in mind.
My sympathy on his passing.

To Cindy, Lydia, Max and Family

What a wonderful man Bob was. His smile, the twinkle in his eyes, his sense of humor, and so much more - such a loss. I always thought of him as a big teddy bear - tough on the outside and soft and mushy on the inside.

Why do we lose the good ones early?

My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family.

February 6, 2017

Cindy and Lydia,

Their are no words that that can heal the pain you must be feeling. Bob Stewart was as kind of man you could meet. He always made me feel like a friend and not just someone who worked for him. He was such a special man. We are all heartbroken!!

I send my prayers and condolences to the family of Bob Stewart. I had the pleasure of meeting Bob at a US Bank Home Mortgage meeting in Naperville, IL. The major quality he possessed was the ability to speak to people on their level. He was down-to-earth and was a great listener. His focus was progress and was always looking for innovative ways to run more efficiently as a department. May his family know that Bob was admired and cherished by all who worked with him. God Bless.

February 6, 2017

Dearest Cindy and Lydia, I am heartbroken over the loss of your beloved Bob. You know how I loved my Dad and often said that Bob reminded me of him in so many ways. True men, like Bob are a rarity these days and I feel so blessed that you all came into our lives 10 years ago. I will always remember the twinkle in his eye when he was tickled, his dry wit, ability to make people laugh and feel right at home, as well as his ability to tell someone he didn't feel was being fair to "stick it". He was truly a treasure; a loving son, father, husband, G and friend. Heaven has a new angel and I pray that God's loving arms has you and Lydia wrapped up tight. I love you both. Rest In Peace, Bob!

February 6, 2017
